Network Traffic Trend Analysis
nLive provides databases that can report to many months and years (depending on the size of the disk drive). This ability to see time lines of application usage and bandwidth usage can be used to determine capacity needs and to anticipate rearchitecture of the network and its elements.
All reports, tables and graphs can be made to 5 minute granularity even in time frames that are in the distant past. This provides good flexibility in observing trends in network activities and usage.
nLive also shows higher scores and more problems, when the nature of the traffic changes, so that the latest trend in traffic is different from what is captured in the profile running. Since profiles can be switched in and out, one can compare current traffic with several past snapshots to see how things have changed.
